Vice President Marketing and Sales

The VP Marketing and Sales will provide strategic sales and marketing leadership, owning and driving profitable revenue growth and increased market share in the mobile compressed air market. They are responsible for VMAC's customer facing teams including sales, marketing and technical support to deliver exceptional executional excellence. The marketing and sales initiatives will be aligned with VMAC's long term strategic goals, providing tangible commercial success and sustainable profitability. This position reports to the President and is a member of the company's senior leadership team. The VP will drive the company's long-term growth strategy as an innovative leader in the global mobile compressed air industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a role model for the company brand and culture.
  • Business development including market competitiveness, pricing, brand awareness, development & consistency, lead generation, compensation, distribution, channel and partner strategy and CRM management.
  • Strategic planning including corporate positioning, market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans, and related new product requirements and positioning.
  • Strategic leadership of VMAC branding, including awareness and consistency across all internal stakeholders and all external target markets.
  • Leading marketing, sales and technical support managers to drive performance, optimize efficiency and reporting results.
  • Prepare annual and long-term product sales forecasting and supporting plans
  • Lead overall strategy development of marketing programs for brand awareness, demand creation, lead generation and management.
  • Develop and manage channel and partner strategies and programs.
  • Lead market and customer research for market and product requirements, interface with engineering and senior leadership for product development, product pricing and product lifecycle management.
  • Oversee product marketing including product launch management, sales training, presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis and general sales support.

  • Oversee the development and management the Sales, Marketing and Technical Support budgets.
  • Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all Sales, Marketing and Technical Support programs and activities.
  • Act as spokesperson for the company with press and analysts and at industry events.
  • Oversee the hiring, development and succession planning of the sales, marketing and technical support teams, appropriate for the company's maturity/size and objectives.
  • Establish compensation, training, and sales incentive programs for reporting teams.
  • Lead and develop overall sales model, methodologies and processes, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.
  • Work with sales and marketing managers to develop pricing policies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions, for high-profile customers and channel partners.
  • Prepare and present presentations and reports for stakeholders including the Board of Directors, leadership, coworkers and customers

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 10 years sales/ marketing experience in comparable industries, with 5 years in a senior management position.
  • Strong strategic planning and analysis skills in sales, marketing, and business (competitive) strategy.
  • Graduate degree in business with a preference for a focus on marketing
  • Demonstrated track record of sustainable and profitable revenue growth achievement through the execution of effective marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated experience with market growth in international markets
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
  • Demonstrated consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.
  • Proven sales leadership track record in a technical new product/new market environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and cross functionals teams to create results driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with a variety of sales methodologies, sales funnel management.
  • Demonstrated experience with effective public speaking skills and presence.
  • Experience with a growing organization involved in sales of technical products

The target range of this role is $155,000.00 - $190,000.00 plus bonus. Employment offers are determined by factors unique to each candidate, including skills, qualifications, experience and credentials.
