Support energy research at NAIT through laboratory testing, data entry, and equipment troubleshooting. This casual opportunity is onsite at Main Campus.
As a Student Research Assistant, you will support Clean Technology projects focused on industrial waste materials and environmental samples. You will work under academic supervision in laboratory settings, supporting circularity research for forestry reclamation applications. The work involves renewable energy systems, power electronics, electrical testing, and research documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clerical tasks related to research projects
- Enter data accurately and efficiently
- Support equipment installation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Conduct laboratory cleanup and routine research tasks
- Communicate observations with project teams and industry partners
Requirements:
- Full-time enrollment in an eligible technical program
- Enrollment in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Understanding of laboratory procedures and research techniques
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word and Excel
- Laboratory experience and safety knowledge are assets
