Hybrid - 3 days a week Key Outcomes Deliver an Integration Hub/API layer that decouples client apps from PSP specifics and supports REST + webhooks + event‑driven messaging. Enable tokenized payment flows end‑to‑end (authorization, capture, refund, chargeback). Stand up a secure CI/CD pipeline with automated tests/security checks (SAST/DAST), secrets management, and role‑based access. Implement observability (structured logging, metrics, tracing) and performance profiling to meet SLOs. Contribute to the design and execution of migration from legacy DTS tokens to PSP tokens, including retokenization and lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy applications using AWS services such as Amazon API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3. Build responsive and dynamic front‑end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React or Angular. Implement iframe integration and web components for modular and reusable UI elements. Develop and maintain backend services, including RESTful API design, webhooks, and integration with third‑party systems. Write clean, maintainable code in TypeScript and Python, and manage version control using GitLab. Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Work with NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB) and SQL databases for data storage and retrieval. Define API Gateway patterns, versioning, error models, pagination, and idempotency keys. Ensure application security, PCI compliance, scalability, and performance optimization. Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Finance/Treasury, other TS teams, and vendor partners; lead release planning and capacity forecasting. Prepare and maintain technical specs, threat models, runbooks, and operational dashboards. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience building applications on the cloud: AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM), serverless and container workloads. Strong front‑end development skills: React or Angular with TypeScript, HTML/CSS for admin/merchant portals. Backend and integration development experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns. Backend: proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python/Java/Kotlin/Go; RESTful design; clean architecture; DDD. Integrations: REST, webhooks, message queues; webhook signature verification; idempotency; error handling. Familiarity with GitLab and DevOps practices. Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases; schema design; partitioning; performance tuning. Deep knowledge of OWASP ASVS/Top 10; encryption in transit/at rest; mTLS/OAuth2; API key rotation; short‑lived tokens. Experience with secrets management (vaults), IAM/RBAC, audit logging, data privacy, and secure SDLC (TDD, code reviews, SAST/DAST). Required experience with monitoring and observability, including structured logging, metric collection, tracing (e.g., OpenTelemetry), performance profiling, and debugging. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment. Nice‑to‑Have Hands‑on PCI‑DSS experience; designing scopes that keep ICN out of PCI. Knowledge of AWS security best practices. Experience with microservices architecture. Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration. Experience with payment gateways/processors (e.g. Moneris, CT Payments, etc.) and chargeback flows. To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need Analytical skills. Ability to work in fast‑paced environments. Communication is essential to be integrated in the team. Creativity is always a plus. Proven past experience on real prod‑level projects. Qualifications 8+ years in software development with a track record of building production‑grade distributed systems. Demonstrated leadership in release management, capacity planning, and cross‑vendor/customer collaboration. Agile, Waterfall, and/or Hybrid delivery experience; mentoring engineers; driving knowledge sharing.
