What You’ll Be Doing Supervise project execution from a technical standpoint to ensure projects meet schedule, quality, and cost goals. Guide and support teams, emphasizing excellence and fostering positive stakeholder relationships built on trust, integrity, and respect. Manage department capacity to support revenue targets with the use of employees, resource sharing with other SAI business units and hiring contractors during surge times. Oversee work assignments, conduct performance assessments, administer rewards, discipline, and manage conflict resolution. Efficiently coordinate work schedules and facilitate interdepartmental communications. Provide valuable guidance during design reviews to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction. Support the Engineering Design Process, guiding it from technical concept review to final customer acceptance, including the conduct of formal Design Review Sessions as required by ISO standards. Provide expert advice on staffing, conduct interviews, and perform technical screening during the hiring process. Establish and enforce design procedures and standards, driving continuous improvement in design practices. Develop and execute team members' development plans and performance reviews. Foster an open and collaborative environment, encouraging idea exchange and boosting employee engagement by promoting organizational values and facilitating regular communication through meetings. Play an active role in both short and long-term strategic and budgetary planning, ensuring the company's strategic goals are met. Ensure strict adherence to safety practices and maintain a secure working environment. Author and maintain the Samuel Automation Design Specification document, a crucial reference in the design process. Evaluate design concepts for their soundness and adherence to internal aesthetic standards. Conduct a thorough analysis of activity reports and cost statements, using the insights to assess project progress and make necessary revisions. Nurture robust and lasting relationships with partners, vendors, and distributors, showcasing dedication through the planning and execution of professional community events. Act as the company's representative at external events, traveling to meet with customers and partners to cultivate essential connections and contributing to marketing initiatives where appropriate. You’ll Be Great At Actively contributing to the development and evaluation of innovative engineering design concepts Effective communication skills, encompassing presentations to individuals and groups, responsive question handling, and proficient report and correspondence writing. Demonstrate sound business judgment. Proficient in analyzing and deciphering intricate technical specifications and applications. Demonstrated expertise in applying advanced mathematical principles. Familiarity with "Shop Floor" practices and production processes. Capable of motivating teams, organizing, and concurrently managing multiple projects in a high‑paced setting. Possesses creativity, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to think and visualize in three dimensions. Practical experience with SolidWorks and knowledge of machine safety regulations. Key Requirements Possess a degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related industry experience Showcase a minimum of ten years of experience in a technical leadership role within a sizeable division or company. Must be able to travel internationally. The expected compensation range for this position is $123,120-$153,900. This range includes base pay and target variable pay. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We also consider internal equity to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. This range reflects the expected full compensation range for the role; most offers will fall within the range and not at the maximum in order to allow for future growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr
