The Nuclear Buyer plays a critical role in ensuring all procurement meets CSA N286, N285, and N299 standards and aligns with project schedules within the nuclear sector. Key Responsibilities Procurement Execution Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle for nuclear-class items (RFP ? PO ? receipt ? closeout). Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for materials, equipment, and services. Review BOMs and determine technical and quality procurement requirements. Prepare and issue RFPs, tender documents, and bid evaluations. Ensure procurement aligns with project schedules and cost objectives. Qualifications Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline OR equivalent experience. SCMP designation is an asset. Must be eligible to pass a security background check (nuclear sector requirement). Experience Up to 5 years of procurement experience in nuclear, power generation, EPC, industrial, or construction environments. Experience with low-risk/low-complexity procurement projects is an asset. Technical Skills Strong understanding of CSA N286, N285, and N299 nuclear standards.
