About Us

Solo GI is a Canadian-owned and operated business specializing in manufacturing all-natural low-glycemic nutrition bars. Solo bars are made from high-quality ingredients and supply energy over an extended period, ideal for powering challenging workouts, mountain hikes, or simply meeting the demands of daily life. The Solo GI brand is currently undergoing a relaunch with an improved formulation and new product lines marketed toward health-conscious individuals.

The Role

Solo GI is looking for a visionary and dedicated Chief Executive Officer who can drive the innovative brand forward. The ideal candidate will build up a high-performing team, refine manufacturing processes, ensure efficient supply chain operations, and establish the brand in a competitive market. As the senior leader at Solo GI, the CEO will form strong partnerships in the industry and inspire a talented team to navigate the dynamic consumer products market and shape the future of the emerging brand.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the effective implementation of Solo GI’s strategic plan and vision
  • Ensuring the company’s financial sustainability and growth, including financial planning, budgeting, and managing cash flow
  • Building and maintaining relationships with business partners and key stakeholders
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations and maintaining standards for quality and efficiency
  • Optimizing the supply chain to ensure smooth coordination of manufacturing, shipping, and distribution processes
  • Guiding research and development to innovate new products and refine existing offerings in with market trends and consumer preferences
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and identify new market opportunities
  • Creating marketing strategies to enhance brand recognition and increase customer engagement
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
  • Representing the company to the public and media
  • Developing and motivating a team of high-performing employees
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and success

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA strongly preferred
  • Proven experience as an executive leader in a similar role within the consumer products industry
  • Expertise in financial management and strategic planning
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of market trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and risks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to forge relationships and employees and stakeholders
