Support prescription processing with Central Pharmacy Services in Calgary, using accurate data entry and medication packaging during fixed evening shifts.
As a full-time Pharmacy Assistant, you will help maintain workflow continuity within Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart’s central fill operations. Your work supports Registered Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists by preparing prescriptions, managing information, and protecting patient safety. The role is temporary with benefits and scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and package medications according to pharmacy standards
- Enter and maintain prescription data in applicable systems
- Prioritize prescriptions through established workflow processes
- Operate and maintain prescription automation equipment
- Deliver completed prescriptions to designated areas
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented ability to prioritize assignments accurately
- Retail pharmacy experience or hospital pharmacy exposure
- Ability to work quickly for extended periods
