Responsibilities Coaching and mentoring a team of tax colleagues on compliance, helping them walk in clients' shoes by discussing tax planning options Establishing deep trusting relationships with clients as you advise them on complex tax matters Advising clients on reorganizations, rollovers, windups, amalgamations, provisions, estate and trust planning, as well as managing T1, T2, and T3 returns Proactively resolving tax-related issues with clients, tax authorities, and other team members Acting as a leader in managing our growing tax practice, identifying and developing new opportunities for additional tax services Typical Day You meet with the CFO of an aquaculture client and the Assurance Partner, discussing the latest developments in high-tech fisheries equipment and how it impacts their growth ambitions. You go for a coffee with new colleague, Winnie, mentoring her and sharing your experiences on your unique CPA journey. When you get a text from the owner of a local restaurant chain, you call the Tax Partner and set up a meeting at the office tomorrow. Then, you join your colleagues in the lunch room to recap the weekend’s events.
