Overview This position can be based out of any of our Ontario offices (Toronto, Vaughan, Ottawa, Sudbury) or elsewhere in Ontario with the flexibility to work remotely. Your role Business Strategy Development: Engaging in business/relationship development and client liaison activities, in particular with the Ministry of Transportation Ontario; and assist the Manager in achieving the objectives of the Transportation Infrastructure Department. Project Management: Lead and manage multidisciplinary highways/transportation projects as Project Manager or Technical Lead; deal directly with clients on project scope, schedule and budget; monitor project completion and contract compliance. Proposal Preparation: Lead/Participate in and oversee the preparation of proposals and fee estimates. Mentoring and Quality Control: Technical leadership to build and maintain team practices and development; support collaboration across disciplines; provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians to ensure technical adequacy of all work; review work and complete quality control procedures. About You Extensive Experience: 20+ years of relative experience in roads and highways design and 10+ years of experience as a design lead, deputy project manager or project manager. Professional Credentials: Registered Professional Engineer with PEO; CAPM/PMP designation is an asset. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in office productivity, project accounting, project management and personnel management software; working knowledge of CAD and ORD/Civil3D software. Design Standards Knowledge: Working knowledge of application of TAC Geometric Design Guidelines, MTO highway design, OTM, OPSD, and other design standards as required. Soft Skills and Flexibility: Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; team management and delegation skills; willingness to travel for short-term assignments within Ontario/Canada.
