Position Overview Foundation Health is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join our growing specialist network. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients across a range of mental health conditions, working collaboratively with primary care providers and allied health teams. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and risk assessments Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and trauma‑related conditions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacotherapy and supportive psychotherapy within scope of practice Provide ongoing follow‑up care and medication management Offer consultation and shared‑care support to family physicians and other referring providers Collaborate with psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, and other allied health professionals Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical documentation in compliance with CPSO standards and organizational policies Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient safety initiatives as required Qualifications & Requirements MD degree from an accredited medical school Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in Psychiatry Holding an independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) CMPA membership Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaborative skills Experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred; subspecialty interests welcomed Practice Environment & Support Established referral base through Foundation Health's primary care network Administrative, scheduling, and billing support provided EMR system in place Flexible scheduling options, including in‑person and virtual care (where appropriate) Opportunity to focus on areas of interest such as general adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, or consultation‑liaison psychiatry Why Join Foundation Health Collaborative, multidisciplinary care model Strong administrative infrastructure allowing physicians to focus on patient care Opportunities for professional growth and long‑term practice development Commitment to improving access to mental health care in Ontario Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Health Care Provider Industries Hospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
