Project Cost Controller

We are currently looking to recruit a *Project Cost Controller* to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Project Managers to prepare and manage budgets, monitor ongoing costs, and report the Projects financial status to our Finance and Leadership teams. This role is crucial in steering our projects to financial success, avoiding overruns, and maximizing value.
*Responsibilities:*
* Develop and maintain the project budget, ensuring it aligns with the financial objectives of Threeosix;
* Regularly track actual project expenditures against the budget and forecast future costs to prevent budget overruns;
* Prepare detailed financial reports, highlighting variances and forecasting future expenditures to inform management decisions;
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the project lifecycle;
* Work closely with Project Managers and the Leadership Team to ensure budget compliance and financial transparency;
* Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects;
* Contribute to the strategic planning of projects by providing financial insights and cost control strategies;
* Utilize cost management and project scheduling software to accurately report against project budgets.
*Requirements:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required;
* Charted Professional Accountant (CPA), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Cost Technician (CCT), or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) will be considered assets and preferred;
* Have a proven 5+ year track record of successful cost control in construction or related industries;
* Knowledge of construction or general contracting industry will be considered an asset;
* Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial team members;
* Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
* Good communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
