Candidates must have earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment, hold a baccalaureate degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent discipline , and demonstrate excellence in both research and teaching . We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance our existing departmental strengths in areas such as: Catalysis Thermodynamics Advanced separations Integrated chemical process design and optimization Scaling and modularizing chemical processes Novel energy inputs Applications in the areas of industrial decarbonization, CO₂ capture and conversion, energy‑efficient processes, the circular economy, and water recovery are particularly welcome. The successful candidate will be expected to: Pursue innovative and independent research. Establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program. Teach in the chemical engineering curriculum at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Demonstrate the ability to sustain and lead innovative research advancing global frontiers of knowledge. Contribute to collaborative and interdisciplinary research and collegial departmental life. Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Ontario is required. Qualifications and Evidence of Excellence Research excellence will be demonstrated by: Publications in top‑ranked and field‑relevant journals (or forthcoming publications meeting high international standards). Presentations at major conferences. Research awards, distinctions, and strong letters of reference. Teaching excellence will be demonstrated by: A record of teaching accomplishments. A complete teaching dossier (including a teaching statement, sample course materials, and teaching evaluations or other evidence of superior performance). Evidence of teaching‑related contributions such as student mentoring, instructional innovation, or educational outreach. Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
