Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Experience At least two years recent and related clinical experience in a complex healthcare environment is required. Previous working experience working with healthcare equipment an asset. Previous working experience in a critical care technical intensive health care environment an asset. Prior teaching experience or demonstrated ability to teach is required. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Complete high school education, Manitoba standards. Post-secondary education in a technology-based healthcare related field including but not limited to: Registered Cardiology or EKG Technologist, Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy, Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Imaging Technology, Graduate of an approved and accredited Ultrasound training program, Graduate of an accredited school of MRI Technology. An intensive on-the-job training program is provided by the Centre. Continuing education and maintenance of familiarity with equipment is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered by the Centre. Certification/Licensure/Registration Maintenance of regulatory body licensure is required where applicable. Qualifications and Skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with proficiency in Excel. Experience with inventory and ordering functions in SAP an asset. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to work with a team as well as independently with minimal supervision when required. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills. Physical Requirements Light to moderate physical demands including: extended periods of standing and walking; minimal lifting, bending or stretching is required.
