Overview Position: Assistant Director of Environmental Services - Long Term Care - Permanent Full Time The Village of Tansley Woods has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director of Environmental Services to join their team. Location: 4100 Upper Middle Road, Burlington, Ontario L7M 4W8 Status: Permanent Full-Time Salary: The expected hiring range for this role is $47,000.00 to $51,000.00 . This role falls within a broader internal salary band, with growth opportunities based on demonstrated performance. Responsibilities As a new Assistant Director of Environmental Services, you will: Possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field. Have three (3) years of experience leading and directing department(s) in a healthcare setting. Display a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members. Identify potential hazards in the village and rectify the situation to ensure a safe working environment and home for residents. Teach team members how to safely handle potentially hazardous materials. Facilitate monthly fire drills to ensure team members are aware of precautions and processes. Demonstrate knowledge of best practices relating to Maintenance, Housekeeping & Laundry. Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Director of Environmental Services role. Qualifications Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field. Three (3) years of leadership and directorial experience in a healthcare setting. Caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members. Ability to identify hazards and maintain a safe environment for residents. Knowledge of safety and handling of potentially hazardous materials. Assets (not required) Experience with shift scheduling, department budgeting and spend. Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Experience auditing and evaluating safety measures and procedures. Strong time management and teamwork skills.
