Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Remote HR Assistant to join our dynamic team. As an HR Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks, employee onboarding, and maintaining HR records. This remote position provides flexibility and the ability to work from the comfort of your home. Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation, setting up training sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees. Maintain and update employee records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. Assist in managing employee benefits, payroll, and time-off requests. Provide administrative support to HR managers and executives as needed. Help in organizing employee engagement activities, performance reviews, and feedback sessions. Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll. Prepare reports related to HR activities and metrics as required. Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Contribute to creating a positive work environment by assisting with employee relations and conflict resolution. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar administrative role. Strong knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and payroll. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software (e.g., ADP, BambooHR, or similar). Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. Familiarity with Canadian labor laws and HR best practices is a plus. Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HR support role or administrative position. Experience working remotely is a plus but not required. Experience with HR software and systems is highly desirable. Working Hours: Full-time remote position. Standard business hours (9 AM to 5 PM EST) with flexibility depending on the candidates time zone. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required depending on business needs. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of human resources processes and practices. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Technical proficiency in HR software and systems.
