Title: Maintenance Planner DF Company: IPG Location: Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada Employment type: Full-time Seniority level: Entry level Position Description Department: Maintenance. Reports to: Plant Engineer. Status: Salaried Exempt. Purpose: Prepare weekly maintenance schedule, maintain Maintenance Department key performance indicators (KPIs) to help maximize plant performance. Principal Accountabilities Conduct regular meetings with the maintenance team and equipment owners to establish work priorities and schedule equipment outages. Work with maintenance team members to plan work orders, ensuring adequate instructions, part availability, and labor resources (internal or contractors). Increase equipment reliability by developing proactive measures, reviewing equipment failures, and implementing PM tasks to avoid recurrence. Prepare work plans and schedules for all major equipment shutdowns and keep equipment owners updated on work progress. Prepare regular reports on key maintenance metrics, including weekly schedule compliance, downtime summaries, cost summaries, equipment failure investigations, and PM compliance review. Maintain the technical library (blueprints, technical documents, service manuals, etc.). Perform all other tasks as requested by the manager. Essential Skills And Experience Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. 2-4 years of relevant experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Experience in maintenance planning within an industrial environment. Strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively with team members to develop work plans and schedules. Demonstrated commitment to safety – safe work practices incorporated into all work plans. Ability to set work priorities based on requirements, impact on product quality, process improvements, and equipment condition. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in working with CMMS software (AMMS) and Microsoft Office. Experience with predictive maintenance tools and condition monitoring. Why Choose IPG?
