Role Overview As Data Team Lead you’ll build a modern data ecosystem that drives innovation and empowers decision‑making across the organization. You will shape how data is architected, engineered, and governed, leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility. Key Responsibilities Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture framework, including data models, pipelines, and storage solutions. Ensure scalability, performance, and security of data platforms using Microsoft Fabric. Lead design and development of data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes. Implement best practices for CI/CD, medallion architecture, and real‑time analytics using Fabric components (Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Power BI). Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives. Utilize Microsoft Purview for data cataloguing, lineage, classification, and compliance management. Drive initiatives for data quality, stewardship, and ownership across business units. Manage and mentor an internal data team and use external resources where necessary. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT leadership to align data strategy with business goals. Act as a data culture advocate, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Qualifications Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in data architecture, data engineering, and data governance roles. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Data Factory, Data Activator, Power BI) and Microsoft Purview (Data Map, Unified Catalog, Compliance Manager). Expertise in data modelling, ETL processes, and pipeline orchestration. Familiarity with security frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management in data environments. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AI‑driven analytics and Copilot integration in Microsoft Fabric. Certifications in Microsoft Fabric, Purview, or related data governance frameworks. Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure) and hybrid data architectures. Additional Information Chandos is an equal‑opportunity employer.
