Job's mission As a Manufacturing Engineer at ASM Singapore, you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence across our semiconductor equipment production lines. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges, improve cycle times, and ensure product quality and delivery. Your work will directly support ASM’s mission to deliver cutting-edge technology to global customers. What you will be working on Partner with Global Operations teams (Manufacturing, Production Planning, Procurement, and Quality Engineering) to optimize manufacturing processes, cycle time, assembly sequence, and quality. Provide first-line engineering support to resolve daily operational issues in semiconductor equipment manufacturing. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet daily product delivery targets aligned with production schedules and quality standards. Perform systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and deviations. Define and create manufacturing procedures, build/test sequences, and quality documentation (e.g., work instructions, test procedures, inspection checklists). Liaise with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal teams to drive timely solutions. Lead continuous improvement projects focused on quality, cost, capacity, and efficiency. Deliver tooling and test equipment that meet product requirements and enhance manufacturing efficiency. What we are looking for Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering. Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Candidates with relevant internship experience will also be considered. Experience in equipment assembly and test within the Semiconductor or Capital Equipment industry. Familiarity with material fabrication processes, component installation, and assembly integration. Understanding of Bill of Materials structure and revision changes. Experience working with cross-functional teams and driving change. Knowledge of operational excellence tools such as Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, 8D, PDCA, DMAIC, Six Sigma, Cpk, GR&R, and SPC.
