Bilingual IT Systems Administrator

Our client has an immediate opening for a Bilingual IT Systems Administrator to join their team in Montreal. In your new role as a Bilingual IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the maximum availability of the company's state-of-the-art computer network and for providing technical support while ensuring operational stability and continuity of the technological infrastructure and applications for approximately 100 internal users and a large number of external collaborators. Your mission: Ensure maximum availability of enterprise infrastructure and applications. Guarantee and maintain a high level of security of the company's infrastructure and applications. Contribute to the definition of orientations related to the use of IT. Design and configure performance dashboards for systems and networks. Your daily activities include: Administer all elements of the infrastructure (servers, centralized storage, phone system, mobile devices, firewalls, centralized anti-virus, anti-spam software, printers, magnetic cards, etc.). Install, update, and upgrade infrastructure hardware and software. Adhere to change management procedures and processes when implementing or modifying systems. Use different solutions to enforce security policies and rules on applications and LAN, WAN, and VPN networks. Administer backups of IT infrastructure elements. Maintain an inventory of computer hardware and licenses, including maintenance contracts. Provide further technical support to internal and external users when needed. Write and update documentation. Manage vendor relationships and IT purchasing. Provide support outside of normal working hours, on a rotating basis. Desired Experience: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 environments, 2016, 2019 and 2022 servers and their main management tools (Active Directory, DNS, GPO, WSUS, DFS, etc.) Excellent knowledge of the VMWare vSphere environment (vCenter, ESXi and Replication) Excellent knowledge of Exchange Server Excellent knowledge of SAN infrastructures Excellent knowledge of Veeam Backup and Replication Excellent knowledge of PRTG Very good knowledge of VMware Horizon Very good knowledge of Cisco network switches Very good knowledge of SonicWall firewalls and VPN VMWare, SonicWall certification (an asset) Microsoft MCP, MCITP, MCSE, MCSA, Cisco CCENT/CCNA certification (an asset) Experience with Acronis, SentinelOne or Kantech products (an asset) Experience with the Avaya IP Office phone system (an asset) Experience with Azure and Office 365 (an asset) Hold a College diploma (DEC) in network management or equivalent; Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration and IT Infrastructure technical support. Be fluent in French and English, both oral and written; Have proven customer service skills; Are available for after-hours support on rotating basis; Have good organizational skills and know how to manage priorities; Manage your stress and emergency situations well.
