Overview Electrical Designer roles at EXP in Sudbury, North Bay Ontario. EXP is a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative solutions for the world’s built and natural environments. Be our next Electrical Designer and design your future with EXP. You will be part of the mining team, based in Sudbury or North Bay Ontario. What a day at EXP has in store for you Work closely with our lead engineer and staff designers to design and draft accurate drawing packages. Electrical drafting: single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, grounding plans, wiring, schematics, AC/DC wiring systems, loop diagrams, plan views and elevation/section drawings. Assist the lead engineer in the design of power and lighting layouts, circuiting, fire alarm, automation and control, instrumentation and electrical details. Draft in AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or REVIT environments. Plot, scan and issue project drawing and documentation packages. Support multiple projects, client deadlines and deliverables. What Your Experience Looks Like Experience in heavy industrial design and layout; EPCM environment is preferred. Instrumentation experience required. Technical college graduate with North American experience in mining and mineral or similar industries. Design experience, preferably in the consulting industry; experience in Mineral Mining projects is a plus. PLC and instrumentation design. Strong personal commitment to Safety and Quality. Organized, self-motivated, pro-active, detail-oriented, with good communication skills. Solid understanding of design, engineering codes and technical standards. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.). AutoCAD and MicroStation experience required. Knowledge of engineering standards, codes and guidelines and engineering systems coordination. EEO and Accessibility EXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
