We are currently seeking a Designer to join our Civil Engineering Division to work out of our Stratford office. Our services include civil and structural engineering, building and environmental science, geotechnical engineering, and land surveying. Responsibilities Perform design and analysis for a range of ICI and residential developments to meet client and review agency requirements, including storm and sanitary sewer design, site grading design, water distribution system design, and storm water management design and modelling Create preliminary and final approval drawings for a wide variety of civil engineering projects for various commercial, industrial, and residential clients. Typical projects include (but are not limited to) grading and servicing plans, stormwater management plans, profiles, sections, and detail drawings Communicate with project managers, clients and consultants to ensure design will work within the overall scope of the project Attend and participate in project team meetings and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of project deliverables Field review of construction projects, as needed Other related duties, as assigned Requirements Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology 0-5 years of related work experience Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T), or pursuing C.E.T. designation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D servicing and grading design for Subdivision and Site Plan Developments an asset Working knowledge of Stormwater Management Software such as Visual Otthymo, Flowmaster, etc. an asset Experience with technical report writing an asset Working knowledge of MS Office Experience working in an engineering related work environment preferred What we offer You’ll work on impactful projects, engaging in private and public development projects across Kitchener-Waterloo, London the GTA and beyond.
