Who you are We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Principal Software Engineer (Blockchain) who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our financial technology platform. This high‑impact, hands‑on technical leadership role involves architecting, building, and scaling blockchain‑powered products—from staking platforms to tokenized funds—while driving our strategic approach to the evolving crypto and DeFi landscape. Responsibilities Architect and develop blockchain infrastructure, smart contracts, and protocol integrations. Lead technical strategy and mentor engineers in blockchain development and operations. Conduct technical research into emerging blockchain protocols and DeFi trends, sharing insights that drive innovation. Engineer, deploy and operate institutional‑grade infrastructure, including hardened blockchain nodes, validators, and advanced monitoring to guarantee uptime and security. Collaborate with product, legal, compliance, and asset‑management teams to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, regulatory‑aligned solutions. Own end‑to‑end project delivery from discovery through production rollout and operational excellence. Champion high‑quality code and best practices within the engineering team, fostering collaboration. Evaluate and champion adoption of layer‑2 scaling, zero‑knowledge proofs, and other emerging cryptographic technologies. Qualifications 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in blockchain protocol engineering, DeFi, or crypto infrastructure. Deep knowledge of blockchain networks (Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, etc.) and staking protocols. Expertise in smart‑contract development (Solidity, Viper, Rust, Move, or similar) with an understanding of security and audit best practices. Proven experience deploying or managing validator nodes and monitoring tools. Experience designing Tokenomics, DeFi strategies, or liquidity models. Prior involvement with stablecoins, on/off ramps, or regulated tokenized products. Understanding of financial markets, asset management, or treasury operations within a crypto/DeFi context. Ability to collaborate closely with product, compliance, and legal teams in regulated environments. Comfortable working in ambiguous or emerging problem spaces. Strong communication skills to influence cross‑functional stakeholders. Proven leadership in technical strategy, system design, and mentoring engineers.
