Child and Family Clinician, Family Community Counselling Join Child Development Institute (CDI) as a Child and Family Clinician dedicated to supporting children and youth (0‑18) and their families through evidence‑based mental health care in a strength‑based, inclusive setting. Who we need Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will provide in‑person, on‑site therapeutic support in schools, the community, and clients’ homes, as well as at CDI locations for group sessions. As part of a multidisciplinary team you’ll collaborate on treatment planning and care coordination. What the role involves Administer comprehensive psycho‑social assessments and develop clinical formulations. Lead evidence‑based individual, family, and group therapy and monitor progress. Manage 12‑15 case files with intake, assessment, transition, and discharge planning. Conduct ongoing assessments, administer evaluation measures, and manage safety plans and referrals. Complete agency‑required reporting, maintain accurate records, and fulfill accreditation standards. Participate in clinical supervision, keep current with best practices, and contribute to training development. What you bring Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related clinical discipline; professional registration in good standing (e.g., OCSWSSW, CRPO) and credentials to provide psychotherapy. 1+ year experience in children’s mental health, including infant mental health, learning disabilities, family violence, and trauma; skills in flexible family‑nation engagement and evidence‑based approaches (e.g., trauma‑informed care, CBT, TF‑CBT). Professional integrity, adherence to ethical standards, and sensitivity to privacy and client security. Excellent communication, listening, and crisis‑management skills; ability to balance priorities and practice self‑care. Team player with respect for diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Other requirements Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check. Credential verifications and reference checks.
