Senior Corporate Commercial Litigation Lawyer

Senior Corporate Commercial Litigation Lawyer Base pay range: CA$142,100.00/year - CA$162,400.00/year Our client, a multi‑practice, highly respected Calgary firm, is looking for a Senior Litigation Associate to support the Commercial Litigation Group. The ideal candidate will have 8‑10 years of experience, a proven track record of handling complex matters, and the ability to mentor junior lawyers. A portable practice is an asset but not essential. Responsibilities Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs and trials Solid oral and written advocacy skills and experience Work as part of a team with all levels of experience Routine communications with clients Cultivate relationships with the firm's existing and future clients Provide leadership and direction with respect to less experienced associates Qualifications JD from an FLSC approved school 8+ years of experience in corporate commercial litigation, specifically with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial Experience with time management systems Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Benefits Guaranteed bonus structure Hybrid opportunity once established All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
