Day-to-Day Overview The Investment Specialist primarily supports customers in the inbound call queue at the BMO Investment Centre, breaking the mold of a traditional contact centre environment. You will become an expert in understanding customer needs and providing wealth and investment‑related sales and service to BMO customers or prospects. Activities include supporting customers through onboarding new accounts, mutual fund and term investment transactions, reviewing a customer’s goals and objectives, and ensuring they are set up with appropriate investment products and services. All sales and service activities must be performed in accordance with approved procedures. Qualifications Typically between 1 and 3 years of relevant professional experience. Completed Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada Course (IFIC). Good knowledge and understanding of competitive marketplace trends and product offerings. Some knowledge and understanding of industry regulations and standards, given the industry is highly regulated. Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and listening skills. Resilient, passionate, and curious, ready for a fast‑paced environment. Strong verbal and written language skills in both French and English (language preference). Salary & Compensation Salary: $38,500.00 – $71,000.00 Pay Type: Salaried Salary varies based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. May include a commission structure. Part‑time roles prorated.
