Guelph Manufacturing Group Inc. is currently looking for a CNC Machinist on the day shift (8am - 4pm). The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Operate and set up all CNC Milling machines to support all Tooling requirements by meeting or exceeding daily production requirements with little supervision.
Change tooling for various jobs.
Set up and modify existing programs.
Create new programs from drawings.
Troubleshoot and problem solve.
Understand and follow safety requirements as outlined in Health and Safety Manual and review at monthly Health and Safety meetings.
Understand and follow housekeeping instructions as outlined in Employee Handbook.
Maintain equipment to run efficiently.
Work with fellow employees problem solving.
Complete work orders with information required.
Qualifications:
3+ years' experience working in an automotive manufacturing setting
Machining/ Programming Certificate
Work experience in maintenance or tool room department is considered an asset
Machining of wide range of materials
Knowledge of Fanuc based controls
Experience with Vertical Machining Centres
Mechanically inclined, computer and math literate, able to read drawings
Knowledge of CNC controllers
Experienced with computer programming (CAD/CAM) - Mastercam X9
Experience in Solids, 3D, surfacing is an asset
Mechanically inclined - able to use measuring instruments
Able to work independently with little supervision
Able to perform physically demanding work
