Role Overview

We're seeking a Consultant to join our team. This mid-junior level role is responsible for: delivering exceptional client service; providing account and project management support; exercising resourcefulness; executing tasks and assignments thoughtfully and on-time; and bringing a team player mindset every day. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively monitor and update work back schedules, client status trackers, hot lists and client updates
  • Provide timely updates to support the team with project oversight and execution
  • Deliver exceptional client service – think like a client to anticipate their and/or team needs and be adaptive to changes and/or last minute assignments
  • Demonstrate time management skills; ability to effectively prioritize deliverables to consistently meet deadlines
  • Participate in internal ideation and brainstorm sessions and share ideas; support strategic plan development through research and deck development
  • Actively participate in client status meetings, as relevant
  • Support client and business policies (e.g. travel policies, PO policy, vendor sourcing, etc.)
  • Maintain a positive outlook under pressure
  • Support hard cost tracking with timely vendor invoice follow up and processing
  • Take a lead role in results tracking, measurement and reporting
  • Demonstrate ownership of assignments and work
  • Consistently deliver quality, client-ready work that is thoughtful and considers all aspects of the direction and resources provided
  • Apply critical thinking and resourcefulness on a daily basis – e.g., strive to answer questions before asking, proactively share solutions to challenges
  • Prepare meeting agendas and contact reports including development, finalizing and sending to clients
  • Provide thoughtful tactical execution; seek advice when unsure, share learnings with colleagues where relevant
  • Draft content such as media materials, media and influencer briefs, radio scripts, research summaries, thoughtful client updates and recommendations, and more
  • Source vendors and manage (or support) the project work; oversee new vendor set up, ensure POs are opened; process invoices
  • Develop and foster media and influencer relationships
  • Support media relations activities including media list development, outreach, liaison and reporting
  • Support influencer relations activities including identification, vetting, outreach, contract drafting, content tracking and reporting
  • Lead mailer assembly and distribution; oversee team support
  • Support and oversee event logistics and execution including research, briefing book updates, etc.
  • Use monitoring and social listening tools to track results and develop results reports
  • Actively track coverage and content; own real time updates for the team provide data-backed recommendations for optimization
  • Other tasks as needed or assigned

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities

  • 2-4 years' experience in communications/ public relations; agency experience is preferred
  • A degree or certification in Public Relations or Communications is preferred
  • Critical thinking skills with sound judgement
  • Demonstrated media, social media and influencer relations skills
  • Attention to detail; commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and a commitment to personal career growth
  • A natural curiosity with a pulse on the latest trends
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Functional PR writing skills
  • Solid Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams) skills
