BOXX Insurance is redefining how small and mid-sized businesses prepare for, respond to, and recover from cyber threats. As a Cyber Security Lead, you will be at the core of that mission. You’ll lead frontline containment efforts for clients experiencing cyber incidents, coordinating rapid triage, engaging key partners (forensics, legal, PR), and guiding clients through the most stressful moments of their digital lives. This role requires both technical depth and emotional intelligence: we need someone who understands threat actors and endpoints but also understands people. You’ll work closely with our Head of Hackbusters, as well as underwriters, claims specialists, and security partners. You’ll also contribute directly to the continuous improvement of BOXX’s incident response protocols, playbooks, and the broader cyber risk intelligence program. Serve as the first point of contact during cyber events, leading initial triage, scope assessment, and client communication. Contain, document, and help eradicate threats such as ransomware, business email compromise, data exfiltration, and credential stuffing attacks. Engage and coordinate breach response vendors: digital forensics, legal counsel, crisis comms, and threat monitoring providers. Guide clients through technical and procedural recommendations pre- and post-breach. Contribute to BOXX’s IR playbooks, escalation matrix, and decision trees. Collaborate with Claims Specialists to support coverage and documentation. Escalate major incidents to the Head of Hackbusters and Claims Officer.
