Site: Shared Health - Health Sciences Centre Department / Unit: Category Management - 1 Job Stream: Non-Clinical Union: Non Union Anticipated Start Date - End Date: 01/12/2026 - 07/10/2026 FTE: 1.00 Anticipated Shift: Days Work Arrangement: Hybrid Daily Hours Worked: 7.75 Annual Base Hours: 2015 Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. . Position Overview 3 years of experience working in a supply chain environment, preferably within the health or public sector, including an appropriate combination of: Supporting contracting and contract management. Conducting cost/data/spend analyses and interpretations to inform supply chain decisions. 3 years of experience working with analytical and reporting tools, preferably Python or R but additional exposure to SQL, SAS, ArcGIS, BOBJ or Cognos Tableau, Power BI is an asset. 3 years of experience working with supply management modules in enterprise resources planning systems (e.g. Great Plains and SAP), electronic data interchange platforms, and contract management software applications and using advanced skills with general office software (e.g. Spreadsheets and word processing, presentation program and data visualization). 3 years of experience implementing projects including familiarity with stakeholder consultation, gathering requirements, task breakdown, sequencing, defining roles and responsibilities, and reporting. Experience with supply chain services in the public sector is an asset. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Post-secondary certificate or diploma in relevant disciplines such as supply chain management, data management, business administration or analysis, commerce, computer sciences or a related field from an accredited post-secondary education institution. Additional specialized training in supply chain management, particularly category management and strategic sourcing an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Certification/Licensure/Registration Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate. Qualifications and Skills Demonstrated leadership capabilities at the staff level. The provincial health system in Manitoba has adopted the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework. Familiarity with public procurement best practice, procurement cycles (tenders/RFXs, evaluation strategy, supplier selection, contract award, contract management, etc.), purchasing, contracting approaches, trade agreements and legislation including contract law, administrative law, UN model procurement law, and trade treaties such as Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA), New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA) and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) are assets. Physical Requirements Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings at multiple client sites, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg.
