Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) is one of two tertiary hospitals within Interior Health, with approximately 400 beds and over 84,000 ED visits per year. KGH is the region’s main referral centre and hosts the Interior Heart & Surgical Centre (IHSC) – BC’s only cardiac critical care centre outside Victoria and the Lower Mainland. KGH features a state‑of‑the‑art Centennial Building, a new Dr. Walter Anderson Building, and a teaching campus affiliated with UBC. It provides a full spectrum of services, including maternity, neonatal, pediatric, psychiatric, laboratory, and clinical departments. Practice Details Excellent opportunity for a Diagnostic Radiologist with fellowship training to join the team at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). Fellowship training and/or experience in Cardiothoracic, Chest, MSK, Breast or Nuclear Medicine imaging is an asset but not required. We currently have a mix of 16 diagnostic and interventional radiologists. The department houses 3 CT scanners, one MRI (with expansion underway), a brand new interventional fluoroscopy suite, digital mammography, and a PET scanner located at adjacent BCCA. We are the only IHA site performing MRI‑guided breast biopsies. At our three clinics we provide X‑ray, ultrasound, bone mineral density, and diagnostic mammography services. Procedures: biopsies and drainages, primarily; vascular intervention, nephrostomy tubes, and complex biliary work are handled by the IR team.
