AFXInfra is a specialized consulting firm delivering high-performance Workforce Management (WFM), HCM, and enterprise cloud solutions for public-sector and global enterprise clients. Our teams focus on precision architecture, secure cloud operations, and scalable implementations across complex environments. We are expanding our Azure delivery capability and are seeking an Azure Cloud Architect who can operate at a senior consulting level and support our clients’ mission‑critical platforms. Role Overview As an Azure Cloud Architect with AFXInfra, you will lead the design, modernization, and optimization of Azure environments that support large‑scale, high‑availability systems. You will work closely with our WFM/HCM solution teams, technical leads, and client stakeholders to architect secure, resilient, and cost‑efficient cloud platforms aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Architect enterprise‑grade Azure solutions supporting WFM/HCM applications, integrations, and data platforms. Lead cloud assessments, migration roadmaps, and modernization strategies for public‑sector and enterprise clients. Design and implement Azure landing zones, governance, identity models, and security baselines. Provide architectural oversight for application hosting, API management, containers (AKS), serverless functions, and data services. Guide the development of Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) to ensure repeatable and secure deployments. Collaborate with AFXInfra solution consultants to align cloud architecture with WFM workflows, compliance requirements, and operational SLAs. Conduct performance tuning, reliability engineering, and cost optimisation across Azure workloads. Produce architecture documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and operational standards for client environments. Support CI/CD design and DevOps practices leveraging Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating business needs into scalable, secure, and measurable cloud solutions. Required Skills and Experience 7+ years in cloud architecture with advanced expertise in Microsoft Azure. Strong background designing secure, scalable enterprise cloud platforms. Extensive hands‑on experience with Azure networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, routing, firewalls). Proficiency with Azure AD, RBAC, identity governance, and Conditional Access. Experience with AKS, containerisation, API Management, App Services, serverless functions, and monitoring tools. Strong proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Solid understanding of DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security. Experience supporting high‑availability platforms, mission‑critical workloads, and hybrid cloud environments. Ability to work in fast‑paced consulting engagements with public‑sector, healthcare, or enterprise clients. Excellent communication and stakeholder‑facing skills. Nice‑to‑Have Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ‑305). Experience with WFM/HCM platforms such as Dayforce, Infor, or Workforce Software. Familiarity with public‑sector regulatory requirements in regions such as Canada & the US. Exposure to multi‑cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
