Part‑Time French & High School Math/Science Teacher Oxford Learning Centres Inc. is seeking a part‑time teacher‑tutor to work at our Scarborough location (205‑91 Rylander Blvd., Abbey Lane Plaza, Scarborough, ON). The role is full‑time during after‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm‑8:00 pm) and includes some Saturday sessions (10:00 am‑3:00 pm). A commitment through the end of the school year and continuing into summer is preferred. Position Requirements Education • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.• Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.• Teaching certification is an asset.• Good knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 math and science curriculum, including Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, Calculus, vectors, physics, chemistry, and biology. Experience • Experience teaching/tutoring French, math, and science at Grade 9‑12 level.• Strong English written and oral communication skills.• Strong math skills and ability to guide student understanding.• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time. Responsibilities • Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.• Deliver instruction both online and in‑person (the role is in‑person).• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
