Client is an innovative Canadian corporation with proven expertise in complex Communications, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS), Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems, and airport infrastructure projects. As a major player in airport infrastructure projects, Client designs and constructs intricate projects from air traffic control towers to complete airport construction. Client’s comprehensive customer support programs ensure that our mission-critical systems installed around the world are fully operational, providing a high level of safety and performance that the aviation industry can rely on. Scope of Position Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President – Engineering and Field Operations will oversee all engineering and operations activities related to the integration, delivery, and support of Client products and solutions. Working in a multi-disciplinary environment, the Vice President will lead the engineering and operations teams by demonstrating cross-functional expertise and leadership skills within the operations domain. The objective is to build a world-class operations organization through effective integration, deployment, and support of products that add value to customers and align with the company's strategic goals for profitable growth. A key success factor is the ability to foster a culture supporting aggressive growth and a proactive attitude to elevate the company's standing. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to drive excellence across Engineering and Operations, leveraging best practices, technology, and team capabilities to exceed customer expectations in output, efficiency, and profitability. Create a strategic dashboard to monitor performance metrics and quality, supporting informed business decisions to enhance profit margins. Provide strategic leadership for product and customer development, translating corporate strategy into actionable plans for Engineering and Operations teams. Collaborate with the SR Director of R&D to define and execute a three-year technology roadmap and operational plans. Ensure product readiness for market, focusing on customer demands and development process integration. Manage the development and delivery phases of products and releases, following approval of business cases. Meet operational milestones on time, maintaining high quality and cost objectives. Manage customer support escalations effectively to resolve issues promptly. Build and lead high-performing teams to deliver complex solutions profitably worldwide. Create an organizational structure that optimally utilizes talent, technology, and systems. Foster strong relationships within the company, with technical partners, and customers to achieve strategic objectives and revenue targets. Promote a culture of teamwork and innovation within the organization. Participate actively as a member of the Executive Team in shaping and executing corporate vision and strategy. Preferred Experience / Education The ideal candidate will have extensive and progressive experience in product and system development, including: A degree in Systems Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an MBA or equivalent work experience. At least 15+ years in the industry, with a minimum of 5 years in senior management. Strong background in System Engineering, particularly RF, radio communication, and ATM systems is desirable. Entrepreneurial experience in scaling companies from $25M to $100M, with expertise in delivering both standard products and customized solutions to large enterprise clients and service providers. Experience managing multifunctional teams of 30+ personnel and international partners. Project management skills, PMP certification preferred. Understanding operational challenges in geographically dispersed product development and system integration teams. Willingness and ability to travel frequently to international customer sites. Proven success in delivering solutions in emerging markets and underdeveloped regions. Experience implementing operational best practices, quality systems, and business transformation initiatives. Strong relationship-building skills with staff, peers, and superiors. Experience managing multiple complex international projects concurrently. Proficiency in program management, including cost, schedule, and customer relations. Ability to challenge, debate, and analyze issues from multiple perspectives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
