Senior CAD Designer

Key requirements:

- 5-10 years Automotive Tier 1 experience in CAD design and drawing creation

- Demonstrated experience with various CAD product and Suites like SolidWorks, NX (UG), Catia etc.

- Solid understanding of automotive engineering CAD and draft practices (e.g. GD&T etc.)

- Experience with creating and managing BOMs

- Strong understanding of manufacturing process (die cast, forging etc.)

- Ability to work under pressure and meeting tight project deadlines

- In-depth knowledge and experience with stack-up analysis

- Ability to work without minimal supervision


Preference:

- Experience with 3D and 2D data package creation and submission for JOEMs


Requirements:

- You will be relied upon to follow APQP and ensure that development processes are followed.

- You’re comfortable working with prints & drawings and the revision & approval process

- As a Senior team member with industry experience, you like coaching and guiding younger colleagues and acting as a mentor.

- DFMEA, DVP&R, 8D documents are tools you’re used to applying to ensure design success

- You are comfortable with conducting engineering design and calculations

- Experience with prototype preparation including part numbering, BOM creation, drawing approvals and component fabrication/sourcing. You understand the difference between an internal component drawing and a customer assembly print.

- Excellent organization and time management skills
