Perform brake repairs, engine diagnostics, and maintenance as a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician at Kal Tire in Whitehorse, Yukon. This full-time permanent role serves varied vehicles.
Kal Tire seeks a fully licensed technician for compact cars, domestic vehicles, light-duty fleets, and light trucks. The work includes inspections, adjustments, servicing, repairs, and identifying service opportunities with Sales. You will also mentor apprentices while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform brake, suspension, engine diagnostic, and maintenance services
- Inspect, adjust, service, and repair varied vehicles
- Mentor apprentices and support their skill development
- Collaborate with technicians across passenger cars and light trucks
- Identify mechanical service opportunities with the Sales team
Requirements:
- Automotive Service Technician Journeyperson or Red Seal certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum three years’ hands-on experience with brakes and alignments
- Experience servicing and repairing a variety of vehicles
- Excellent attention to detail and methodical problem-solving
