Health Safety Environment Coordinator

This individual will be responsible for all health, safety and environmental-related operations for a fast-moving manufacturing facility.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish site strategies, systems, and controls to ensure company objectives and compliance in the areas of environmental health and safety.
  • Establish and report key EHS performance metrics
  • Develop and maintain company-wide EHS programs
  • Assess, document, and make recommendations on health and safety improvements
  • Perform inspections and audits of facility, equipment and processes
  • Identifying risks and making recommendations and/or improvements to current policies and practices.


Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Health and Safety or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • 4-5 years of similar industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal /communication skills
  • Proven competency in fostering a Health & Safety environment
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Environmental knowledge and experience required
