We are actively recruiting for a full-time Junior Geologist and seek capable and dynamic individuals to join our team. Job Title: Junior Geologist                                       

Application Deadline: Monday, July 22, 2024

Start Date: ASAP

Work Rotation: Approx. 21 days on 10 days off


Responsibilities:

·        Geological mapping, prospecting, geochemical sampling and data compilation

·        Core logging with associated data plotting and geological interpretation

·        Geotechnical work with drill core

·        Geological reporting of exploration results

·        Digital entry and management of drill log, field data and sample data

·        Ensure quality, completeness and organization of all field data


Qualifications:

·        Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or equivalent required. Focus on ore deposits and economic geology is preferred.

·        Having experience in geological mapping and core logging is a significant asset.

·        Have the ability and willingness to work in adverse weather and challenging terrain and be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs.

·        Exhibit proficiency or the ability to learn industry-standard software packages (e.g. Leapfrog, ArcGIS Pro).

·        Be results-driven and self-motivated, with excellent organizational, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

·        Embrace a proactive, safety-driven mindset and follow accepted safety best practices and Occupational Health and Safety standards.

·        Registration as a Geologist in Training (GIT) or Professional Geologist (P.Geo.) is preferred.

·        Must possess a current valid driver license and an acceptable driving record
