Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as a Material Handler in Oakville, Ontario, moving steel coils and finished products safely. Work Monday to Friday.
Randstad Canada seeks an experienced Material Handler for a manufacturing facility in Oakville. You will support production by managing raw steel coils, bulk metals, finished materials, and inventory. The work includes counterbalance forklift operation, overhead crane use, shipment inspection, and material logistics. Training is available for specialized crane operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sit-down counterbalance forklifts throughout the plant
- Lift and transport steel coils using overhead cranes
- Load and unload materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Inspect shipments, labeling, placement, and warehouse storage
- Maintain clean, organized, hazard-free work floors
Requirements:
- Valid external or in-house forklift certification
- Overhead crane experience preferred; training provided
- Steel or heavy metals manufacturing background is an asset
- CSA-approved steel-toe safety footwear
- Ability to perform daily lifting and manual labor
