Pay: $70.25/hr

Title: Data Scientist II

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and transform data from diverse sources to provide meaningful insights.
  • Develop, validate, and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Apply data mining and statistical techniques to large datasets to find actionable insights.
  • Work with teams to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to understand the data and develop hypotheses.
  • Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
  • Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in data science or a related field.
  • Experience with Python and its primary data science libraries, alongside essential SQL knowledge for database management.
  • Proficiency in building and fine-tuning machine learning models.
  • Deep understanding of model confidence measurements and where to utilize one model over the other.
  • Robust understanding of various machine learning algorithms Experience visualizing results to share with stakeholders.
  • Experience in data preprocessing, data exploration, and feature engineering.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with forecasting and clustering techniques.
  • Experience in the retail industry.
  • Proficiency with cloud services, specifically Vertex AI and BigQuery (GCP) Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
