Responsibilities:

  • Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement methods, procedures, and systems to optimize manufacturing operations
  • Design and layout production facilities to maximize efficiency and space utilization
  • Conduct time and motion studies to determine standard work methods and establish labor standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Utilize statistical tools and techniques to analyze data and identify trends in production performance
  • Design and implement lean manufacturing principles and practices to streamline workflows and reduce waste
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as work instructions, process flowcharts, and standard operating procedures
  • Perform root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address production issues and prevent recurrence
  • Provide training and support to production personnel on new processes, methods, and tools
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in industrial engineering and manufacturing technology


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred
  • Proven experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering roles
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, and principles
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other company locations or customer sites
