Job Description As part of its continued growth, our client is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a multidisciplinary delivery team composed of developers, technical leads, and a quality lead. The role’s primary mission is to ensure the delivery of high-quality software in an efficient, sustainable manner aligned with business objectives. This position sits at the intersection of people leadership, delivery management, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will bring structure, clarity, and coaching to the team while partnering closely with Product Management and Architecture to turn ideas into concrete outcomes. With strong judgment and technical literacy, they will be able to engage meaningfully with engineers and architects, challenge assumptions, and make sound delivery decisions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of the delivery model of a fast-growing SaaS company while having a real and tangible impact on the healthcare system. Key Responsibilities On a day-to-day basis, the Software Development Manager will: Lead and support a multidisciplinary delivery team (typically 8–10 people) by setting clear direction and fostering accountability. Plan and oversee delivery execution, ensuring clear objectives, realistic timelines, and effective prioritization. Collaborate closely with Product Management and Architecture to align on vision, define scope, and ensure solutions meet functional and technical expectations. Identify and remove delivery blockers by optimizing workflows, tools, and processes. Coach team members in problem-solving, communication, and professional growth, while cultivating a healthy, high-performing team culture. Monitor quality and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in delivery velocity, product quality, and predictability. Contribute to the evolution of the delivery model by sharing best practices and lessons learned with peer managers. Act as a thought partner to Product and Architecture, balancing technical feasibility, customer value, and business impact. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in software development or engineering-related roles, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management position. A proven track record of managing end-to-end software delivery in a fast-paced SaaS or product environment. A strong understanding of delivery and quality management principles, from planning and estimation to testing and deployment. A balanced skill set combining people management, execution, and technical literacy. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives. A mindset grounded in continuous improvement, transparency, and team empowerment.
