Rigger

Our client, an industry leader in rigging and lifting solutions, is seeking a dedicated Rigger to join their team. As a Rigger, you will be an integral part of the operations supporting the fabrication, splicing, and inspection of various lifting equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a passion for hands-on technical work, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Rigger Location: Dartmouth, NS Pay Range: $24.50 per hour Shift: 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday What's the Job? Fabricate and splice various slings including synthetic rope, wire rope, and chain with hardware components Operate machinery such as swaging, test-bench, reel coiler, and annealing machines Perform wire rope and rigging equipment inspections, ensuring safety and compliance Assist with rigging tasks, including wire rope terminations and removal criteria Support indoor and outdoor operations, with a focus on safety and precision What's Needed? Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs from floor to waist level Basic technical or mechanical work experience or relevant courses Experience with lifting gear inspection and wire rope examination is an asset Knowledge of ASME rigging fundamentals and requirements Willingness to certify in forklift operation What's in it for me?
