Technical Navigator - Development Project Lead (12-month contract) Join Scotiabank to apply for the Technical Navigator – Development Project Lead (12-month contract) role. As a Development Project Lead you will lead complex initiatives within the Term Lending System (Mortgage) and ensure compliance with governing regulations and internal policies. Responsibilities Champion a customer‑focused culture to deepen client relationships. Work with peers and customers to support agile lab designs and ensure deliverables comply with Scotiabank policies, standards and templates. Participate in project planning, estimation and review processes. Showcase progress in projects/initiatives and hold people accountable to commitments. Assist senior management to enforce standards, ensure solutions align with the technology roadmap and mentor team members. Align technology solutions with business strategies in collaboration with stakeholders. Resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities. Lead delivery of multiple complex projects/initiatives. Present technical information to build trust and achieve consensus. Consider the bank’s risk appetite and culture in day‑to‑day activities. Maintain operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk controls. Champion a high‑performance environment and an inclusive culture. Qualifications 5+ years managing end‑to‑end delivery in complex systems. 5+ years driving development teams to meet project/initiative goals. Strong technical background (code reading, feedback, design patterns). Experience in Agile with complex project delivery. Adaptable to dynamic environments. Solid understanding of software release processes (CI/CD, binary repositories). Attention to detail, quality standards, and risk balance. Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. Hands‑on experience modernizing legacy systems. Experience in the banking domain, especially mortgage, is an asset.
