We’re seeking an SAP Cutover Specialist to lead the end‑to‑end cutover planning and execution required to transition from legacy systems to SAP (e.g., S/4HANA , SuccessFactors , SAP HCM , SAP Ariba , SAP EWM , etc.). This role is accountable for building the cutover strategy, coordinating cross‑functional cutover activities, driving mock cutovers, and leading go‑live execution to ensure minimal business disruption and strong data integrity. You will work closely with business leads, project/program managers, SAP functional teams, Basis, integration and data teams, security, and testing teams to deliver a controlled and successful deployment. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the integrated cutover strategy, detailed cutover plan, and runbook aligned to overall project milestones. Define cutover scope, sequencing, dependencies, RACI, entry/exit criteria, and go/no‑go decision points. Establish system freeze , transport/import windows, and release calendar alignment across environments. Stakeholder & Workstream Coordination Serve as the primary cutover point of contact across business and IT workstreams. Facilitate cutover workshops to capture tasks, owners, durations, prerequisites, and rollback/contingency steps. Identify and manage cutover risks/issues (RAID) and drive mitigation plans and escalation as needed. Data Migration & System Transition Support Coordinate end‑to‑end data migration activities (extract, transform, load) and environment readiness for SAP conversion/implementation. Oversee data load cycles, reconciliation checkpoints, and business sign‑offs to ensure data completeness and accuracy. Coordinate final loads for master/transactional data as applicable (e.g., customers, vendors, materials, employees, org structures). Testing, Validation & Readiness Plan and lead mock cutovers / dress rehearsals , validating timing, sequencing, and operational readiness. Partner with testing teams to ensure cutover‑related testing is completed (integration, regression, UAT readiness gates). Confirm readiness for interfaces, batch jobs, authorizations/roles, printing, and operational procedures. Cutover Execution (Go‑Live) Legacy system freeze/shutdown activities Final extracts and conversions SAP transport/import coordination (with Basis) Batch job scheduling and monitoring Business verification and production enablement Run the cutover command center, tracking plan progress, resolving blockers, and communicating status Troubleshooting & Issue Management Provide structured triage and rapid coordination for issues during cutover and go‑live stabilization. Coordinate defect prioritization and resolution across SAP functional, Basis, integration, and data teams. Documentation, Reporting & Governance Maintain cutover documentation: runbooks, checklists, RAID logs, status dashboards, and post‑cutover validation results. Deliver concise stakeholder communications and executive‑level cutover status reporting. Support hypercare activities and monitor stability, performance, and business process continuity. Lead post‑mortems and incorporate lessons learned into improved cutover templates and playbooks. Qualifications Required 15+ years in cutover management, system migration, or large‑scale enterprise transformation delivery. Strong experience delivering cutovers for SAP implementations and/or conversions (S/4HANA preferred). Working knowledge of SAP landscape concepts including environments, transports, and go‑live activities (in partnership with Basis). Proven ability to manage complex dependencies, multiple teams, tight timelines, and high‑pressure go‑live periods. Excellent communication skills and strong documentation discipline.
