Responsibilities Design and develop infotainment applications on Rivian and Volkswagen Group Android-based OS. Create modular and scalable software adaptable to multiple products and use cases. Develop design patterns and libraries to facilitate application development. Lead the software design process and collaborate with other developers on technical issues, design choices, and decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, UI/UX) to define application features. Identify bottlenecks and optimize performance. Perform code reviews and apply CI/CD practices. Write test code to drive quality, robustness, and functional correctness. Design and implement subsequent application updates and releases. Investigate AOSP codebase to improve performance and integration. Develop sample and demo applications using our technology. Grow skills through continual learning and knowledge sharing, including workshops and talks. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to support team growth. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 8+ years of proven Android application development experience. Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and fundamental C++. Proficiency with Android and Android Jetpack APIs, including Android NDK and JNI; knowledge of Android lifecycle and guidelines. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Android performance and testing frameworks. Familiarity with Android framework services. Experience with multimedia and Bluetooth solutions is a plus. Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams. Prior experience in developing on-vehicle technology.
