Our client is a successful metal fabrication company with a long history of providing quality products for a variety of industries. They are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for their Stratford Plant. What is critical for them is that you were employed for two years in a quality facility where you used ASME codes as well as CWB or AWS codes on a regular basis for manual welding lines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A university degree or post-secondary education in a mechanical engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a quality-related role where you used ASME codes as well as WWB or AWS codes on a regular basis for manual welding lines
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality assurance techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform first article inspections

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and sustain inspection methods and documentation, including CMM programs.
  • Oversee the quality of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to identify any issues.
  • Conduct dimensional assessments of parts using suitable equipment, gauges, and fixtures, ensuring they are calibrated correctly before use.
  • Track process, product, and quality system performance in line with relevant standards and procedures, and report any concerns through the Corrective Action process.
  • Assemble PPAP/First Article submissions for assigned programs.
