Support prescription workflow at Shoppers Drug Mart through accurate data entry, medication selection, and timely customer service in the dispensary.
This Pharmacy Assistant supports technical dispensing functions and pharmacy operations under Pharmacy Standards of Practice. The work includes prescription intake, refill processing, billing, documentation, and customer communication. Clinical inquiries and counseling requests are referred to the pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information according to established Standards
- Enter prescriptions and process refill requests accurately
- Select, count, measure, package, and label medications
- Process third party billing and related accounts
- Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Problem solving and attention to detail
