Senior Project Manager (Commercial & Institutional Construction) Location: Edmonton, Alberta Salary: CA$125,000.00/yr - CA$135,000.00/yr (based on experience) Why Join Our Client? Join a fast-growing General Contractor in Edmonton with a $100 million portfolio and plans to double by 2026. Specializing in multi‑family, commercial, and institutional projects, this team is winning major contracts, including a groundbreaking IPD project. As Senior Project Manager, you will report to the VP of Operations, lead high‑value builds, and coach PMs managing $5 million–$10 million projects. Backed by strong Operations, Field, and Preconstruction teams plus dedicated coordinators, you will have the resources to succeed. What You’ll Do: Manage commercial and institutional construction projects from planning through completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Lead and motivate project teams, including contractors and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee contract administration, proposals, and negotiations. Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining quality standards. Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Prepare and distribute regular project status reports. Provide mentorship to the Project team. What We’re Looking For: 8‑10 years of experience in construction project management (commercial or institutional). Experience managing projects between $20 million to $50 million. Diploma or degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience. Strong leadership and team management skills. Proven experience coaching and mentoring a project team is desirable. Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities. Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. Familiarity with construction principles, practices, and regulatory requirements. Experience with MS Schedule and Procore is considered an asset.
