Support uranium exploration in Northern Saskatchewan through drill core transport, field inspections, and basic measurements. Work outdoors on a rotational schedule from January to April and June to September.
Cameco’s Exploration Field Assistant supports exploration drill programs and project teams from its Saskatoon-based operation. The casual K6 position involves drill core preparation, scanning, core rack construction, and camp support. Work occurs two weeks in and one week out, with aircraft access to the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport drill core, supplies, and materials between camp and drill sites
- Operate snow machines, ATVs, UTVs, and trucks
- Complete basic drill core measurements and scanning
- Construct wooden core racks and inspect field facilities
- Clear snow and trees within the core yard
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or GED
- Valid Class 5 or Class 5 restricted driver’s licence
- Ability to work a rotational schedule and commute by aircraft
- ATV or UTV operator certification recommended
- Basic first aid or snow machine experience recommended
