Join to apply for the Senior Project Engineer - Transportation role at GHD . We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Transportation to join our growing Canadian Operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering, design, and coordination on large-scale projects including highways, roads, transit, and multi-modal infrastructure (LRT/BRT). The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams across Ontario, Canada, North America, and GHD’s global network. Key responsibilities include: Leading transportation engineering design for roadway, highway, and multi-modal projects. Coordinating civil deliverables, drawings, and details from conception to final design using Civil 3D. Leading small teams of engineers and designers, mentoring junior staff. Reviewing models, drawings, and technical documents, ensuring high standards and minimal guidance. Collaborating across disciplines and communicating effectively with project teams and stakeholders. Maintaining contact with clients, municipalities, utility companies, and sub-consultants. Overseeing report and contract document preparation. Participating in various procurement environments and adhering to GHD standards. Qualifications include: Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering. 10+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure design. Ontario P.Eng designation (or eligible). Strong knowledge of road and highway design standards, geometric principles, and safety standards. Experience with Civil 3D or OpenRoads/InRoads (preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a team environment.
